Michelle Baker, DPT
Michelle graduated from Kean University with a B.A. in Biology in 2001 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2003 from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDJN). Upon completion of school, she took a full-time position as a school based Physical Therapist in September of 2003 and still continues to work in this setting. After school, she also worked part time in a pediatric clinic setting and early intervention until September of 2005. At that point in time, she then switched to an orthopedic setting as a part-time position. She joined Madison Spine and Physical Therapy in October of 2007. She continues to further her manual skills by taking continuing education courses and is working towards becoming a Certified Manual Therapist through Great Lakes. Michelle has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2002.
Suzanne Brain, PT, DPT
Suzanne graduated from Simmons College in Boston, MA with her Bachelors in Health Science with a concentration in Physical Therapy and her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University in 2007. She has worked in various outpatient orthopedic and sub-acute settings for the past 15 years prior to joining Madison Spine and Physical Therapy in 2009. She has a vast experience in orthopaedics, neurological, and manual therapy, aqua therapy, work hardening/conditioning and vestibular rehabilitation. Suzanne loves empowering her patients/clients for them to return to their normal daily activities after Physical Therapy.
Caitlin Carbone, PT, DPT
Caitlin is a licensed physical therapist who earned her bachelors in Biology at the University of Delaware. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ). She joined the Madison Spine and Physical Therapy team in October 2006. Caitlin became the clinical site manager in New Milford in June 2007. She continues to further her manual therapy skills through continuing education. Caitlin is taking courses to work toward her McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy Certification.
Rj Chua, DPT
Rj earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from De La Salle University in the Philippines in 2002. In 2005 he became certified in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine under the Mckenzie Institute, USA. In 2006 he was certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a strength and conditioning specialist. He went on to earn his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2009. Rj has worked in an outpatient orthopedic and sports therapy setting since 2003 and joined Madison Spine and Physical Therapy in 2009.
Jennifer Collard, PT
Jennifer is the Director of Rehabilitation at our Westwood office. She is also Director of Education for Madison Spine & Physical Therapy. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1996. Prior to joining Madison Spine Physical Therapy in 2004, Jennifer worked in a variety of physical therapy settings in Maryland, Rhode Island, California and New York City. Jennifer specializes in manual therapy for all orthopaedic, sports and neurological related injuries and conditions. She also specializes in women's health conditions such as pre natal, postpartum, incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction. Jennifer enjoys attending continuing education classes to further improve her skills to help her patients quickly meet their goals. Jennifer has training in Pilate's and advanced manual skills including Maitland & Mulligan Mobilization Techniques.
Chris Dauble, MSPT
Chris earned his Master degree in physical therapy in 2003 from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Since graduating he has moved back to his local home area and has worked in Bergen County since 2003. His area of expertise is in outpatient orthopedics, where he holds many continuing education certifications beyond what was required in school. His treatment is imbedded with a wide range of advanced manual skills in conjunction with exercises to treat the variety of diagnoses he encounters. In keeping with his educational progression Chris recently graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree (2009) from Dominican College.
Sal Ditta, PTA
Sal has been with Madison Spine since 2000. He completed his education at Nassau Community College and has experience in inpatient as well as outpatient physical therapy settings. Sal enjoys treating all orthopaedic conditions, especially orthopaedic rehabilitation of the hip and knee. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and music.
Johanns Gammel, PTA
Johanns Gammel PTA, NASM-CES joined Madison Spine and Physical Therapy in the beginning of 2008. In 2006 he graduated from the Manatee Community College PTA program in Bradenton, Florida, and also earned a Corrective Exercise Specialization from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). There he began his career at Bolletieri Sports Medicine located within IMG academies, which is a world famous sports training facility for professional and non-professional athletes. While he was there he learned how to combine some of the principles of physical therapy with performance training. In late 2007 he began working for an Orthopedic Surgical group owned PT clinic. There he had the privilege to observe and participate in surgeries on a weekly basis. He brings experience in various settings to Madison Spine and Physical therapy. Johanns has plans to return to school in the near future to obtain his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Adina Lepel, DPT
Adina graduated from Stern College in NYC with a Bachelor of Science and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the CUNY Graduate Center at Hunter College in 2009. Adina has just recently started working with MSPT and is excited to be joining the team! She has had experience with Maitland manual technique and looks forward to expanding her knowledge base with many more continuing education courses. In her free time, Adina enjoys spending time outdoors and participates in many marathons.
Susie Loberfeld, MS DPT
Susie received her Masters of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Columbia University. Her interests include orthopaedics in the general adult population as well as the prenatal and postpartum period; she is certified in prenatal and postpartum exercise training. She also specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy and treats bladder issues and incontinence in men and women. She currently resides in New York with her husband and 3 children.
Karen Lugris, DPT
Karen received her master's and doctorate degrees in physical therapy from the University of Scranton. Prior to working at Madison Spine and Physical Therapy, she worked in the inpatient and outpatient setting at a hospital as well as in a private practice (primarily working with orthopaedic and neurological diagnoses).
Dante Marchesani DPT
Dante graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in May of 2000. Dante then began to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist by working full time for 3 years as a PT Aide and taking prerequisite courses. Dante graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in May of 2007 where he had experiences in the acute, sub-acute and school pediatric settings. Dante enjoys working with the outpatient population because of the interaction with the patients and different diagnoses. Dante recently married in July of 2007 and during his spare time he enjoys running, surfing, lifting and spending time with his wife.
Heidi Martin DPT, CSCS
Heidi graduated from UMDNJ / Kean University in 1993 with a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy. She has worked in various outpatient orthopaedic settings, both hospital-based and private, was an administrator for a large group of offices, and is currently the director of rehabilitation at Madison Spine and Physical Therapy. She has been with Madison Spine since 2003, and has vast experience in orthopaedics and manual therapy, aquatherapy, work hardening/conditioning, sports medicine, vestibular rehabilitation and TMJ. Heidi also returned to school, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2006.

Stella Phillips, PT
Stella graduated from UMDNJ/Kean University in 1993 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. Since then, Stella has attended continuing education classes to further advance her manual skills. She has worked in various orthopedic outpatient facilities. She is certified in pilates mat which she incorporates into her patient care. In her spare time, Stella enjoys running, pilates and spending time with family and friends. Stella joined Madison Spine and Physical Therapy in July 2009.
Chad Reiser, MPT
Chad joined the Madison Spine and Physical Therapy staff in July of 2006. Before joining our team, he worked in both a hospital and an outpatient orthopaedic facility, gaining experience with neurological disorders and orthopaedic impairments. Chad earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Muhlenberg College in 1995 and his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 1999.
Orania Rubio, PTA
Orania graduated from Union County College in 2007 with high honors, and was the recipient of her school's Physical Therapy award. Before then, Orania assisted in operation and instructed in a martial arts school, where she received her black belt. On her days off, she works in inpatient and outpatient departments of a hospital. The rest of her time she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Orania is currently enrolled in courses to continue her education.
Terri Santaniello, MSPT
Terri graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She is proud to have been a part of the Madison Spine family since 2001 where she began as an Aide in our New Milford office. She has risen in the ranks since then with many job responsibilities including Patient Care Coordinator, Physical Therapist, and Site Manager. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Business Development overseeing the operations, marketing, and growth of our Bergen County Offices.
Lauren Sbarbaro, DPT
Lauren joined the Madison Spine and Physical Therapy team in 2006. She is currently the Site Manager of our Tenafly office. Lauren graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2000 with a degree in Biology. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UMDNJ-Newark in 2004. Lauren has worked in outpatient orthopedics since 2004 and enjoys the wide array of patients that this setting offers. She has a deep commitment to continuing education and enjoys taking classes in advanced manual skills. Lauren particularly enjoys treating sports-related injuries, post-surgical cases and shoulder pathology. Lauren is an advocate of lifelong fitness, and is therefore committed to educating her patients on the benefits of regular exercise as a tool to prevent injury and disease.
Lisa Trattner, P.T.
Lisa received her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Brooklyn in 1993. Prior to that she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre in 1988. Lisa worked at Beth Israel Medical Center in Acute Rehab as well as inpatient and outpatient orthopaedics. She then went on to work in a private practice in NYC, where she worked with all kinds of patient populations. After moving to New Jersey, Lisa started to raise her family with her husband. It was then that she became interested in women's health. She became certified in pre/postnatal fitness as well as teaching children's yoga. She has taught many of these classes both privately and at the Bergen county YJCC. Lisa herself has been an athlete all her life, a competitive figure skater, growing up, and today is an avid runner, having just completed 2 marathons. She is thrilled to join the Madison Spine team, where she is interested in continuing to grow with her manual skills.
